Every block you can place on a layout, page setup, the three extent modes, document numbers, map series and publishing a template.
Hyz Layout is the product: you choose a map or a dashboard, arrange a printable sheet, save it as a template and export a PDF. This page is the sheet reference — everything you can put on a sheet, and how the page itself behaves.
The designer lives at /layout, and is for organization members and Haiyz staff — the same rule
the API enforces. Everything is in millimetres, so a sheet designed on one screen prints
identically from another. A map also keeps its quick Export PDF, which needs no designer at all.
Place a block, then edit it in the right panel — a Content tab and a Position tab (X, Y, W, H in mm). Any block can be duplicated, deleted, or set to Hide from print: kept in the layout, left off the sheet.

The palette also holds a scale bar, a north arrow, a logo picked from your uploaded files, a features table index, a feature info card, and shapes — divider, line, arrow, rectangle, ellipse — for annotation. Standard sheet arranges a correct sheet in one click, and everything it places stays an ordinary block.
Page size is A4, A3 or Letter, portrait or landscape. Add page and Remove last set the length; Grid and Snap (off, 1 mm, 5 mm) keep blocks aligned. Pages and blocks are capped, and the designer refuses to exceed the cap rather than dropping work quietly.
Map series builds the report from one layer: page 0 keeps your arrangement and gains an index table, and each chosen feature gets a page with a map frozen to it, a title and its card.
A map block decides what it frames at export, not at design time:
Each map block is captured separately, so one report can show the map at several scales.
Switch Show document number on in a Document info block and the sheet carries a reference shaped prefix–year–counter: a per-user yearly sequence minted at export, never on preview. Two simultaneous exports can never share one, the preview shows a dash, and a failed mint prints no number rather than a plausible fake.
One map's saved layout, shared org-wide with Share as organization template; colleagues pick it from Organization templates…. The organization's entity name and default classification also pre-fill every sheet its members design.

The Hyz AI button designs the whole sheet — pages, size, orientation, every block in millimetres, and written analysis in your language. It is described with the rest of the product on Hyz Layout; the daily allowance is on Hyz AI.
After saving a layout as a template you are offered Publish to catalog. The Catalog takes the template, never the map, so this shares the design and nothing about your data. Anyone who chooses Use gets a template of their own.
Export captures each visible map block at its extent, sends the sheet with your logo, and returns a downloadable PDF. A block the composer cannot yet draw is named in the result rather than silently missing.
