Sign-in without a password, the sessions your account is carrying, and how to end one.
Open Account and devicesHaiyz accounts have no password: nothing to choose, nothing to forget, nothing to reuse from another site.
To create an account you give your name, your mobile number, your date of birth (you must be 16 or older) and what you do — one to three areas such as GIS analyst or surveyor; your employer, experience and how you heard of Haiyz are optional. Registering then e-mails you a code: entering it confirms the address is yours and finishes the account. There is no activation link. After that, every sign-in is the same three steps:
Ask for a new code as often as you like; a fresh request replaces the previous one. An account that never entered its first code simply gets one — entering it finishes the account. A suspended account is told so instead of being sent a code.
Your phone number and date of birth are personal data: you, the Haiyz team and your organization's administrators can see the phone number; only you and the Haiyz team see the date of birth. Neither appears on your public profile. Change them under Edit profile › About you.
On the web your session lives in cookies the browser will not hand to any script; nothing sensitive is stored in the page.
/account/profile is the account home: your name, username and avatar, your interests and links, your notification preferences, and — on the same page — the security card below.
Your membership appears there too: it decides how much you can publish and store, and which features answer instead of explaining a plan requirement. The ladder is on Plans & limits.
/account/usage turns your membership into numbers: the plan you are on, a meter for every quota it carries, the storage you are using, and your tool-run activity.
Everything there is rendered from what the server says, not recalculated in the browser — so it is the honest answer when a save returns "plan limit reached".
The Active sessions card on your profile lists every device currently signed in to your account, most recently used first. For each one it shows:
| Column | What it is |
|---|---|
| Device | Read from the user agent — "Mac", "Windows PC", "iPhone", "Samsung Galaxy", "Android tablet" |
| App | The browser, or Hyz Desktop when the session belongs to the desktop app, which reports what it is |
| Address | The IP address the session was last seen from, or "This network" for a local address |
| Last active | When that session last refreshed |
| This device | The badge on the session you are reading the page from |
There is deliberately no city or country lookup: naming a place would have meant sending every IP your account has ever used to an outside service.
Your account holds a limited number of sessions at once, and the limit depends on your plan — Plus, Enterprise and staff accounts carry more. The numbers are on Plans & limits.
When you sign in and the account is already at its limit, the least recently used session is dropped. That is rarely the device you would pick: the phone in your pocket refreshes all day and stays at the top of the list, while the laptop that sat idle overnight is the one that goes — and from that laptop it looks like being logged out for no reason.
If that keeps happening, the list is where to look: sign out what you do not recognise, and count how many are yours.
Every row except your own has a Sign out button. It revokes that session immediately: the next time that device tries to continue, it is asked to sign in again.
Signing out the device you are on is the ordinary Sign out in your account menu. There is no single "sign out everywhere" button — end the other sessions one at a time from the list.
