Open Open DataOpen Data is a library of open geospatial sources — the portals and publishers that release data, such as a city's open data portal or the national statistics authority — and the entries each of them publishes, filed under the same GIS taxonomy as everything else on Haiyz.
It is a library, not a store. Every entry points at the source; Haiyz holds none of the data. What Haiyz adds is the documentation, the search, and a way to pull an entry into your own work with one click.
It is for signed-in members of Haiyz Cloud. A self-hosted instance does not carry it.
A source is documented once: who it is, what it publishes, under which licence, how often it updates, how to use it, and where to reach it. The library opens with the sources; open one to read its page and see its entries beneath.
Search finds sources and entries by name and description in Arabic and English — a different spelling of a hamza or an alef still matches. Narrow the list by source, by a domain from the taxonomy, or by format — GeoJSON, Shapefile, KML, CSV, WFS, WMS, GeoTIFF or an API.
An entry carries its title and description in both languages, its source, licence, region and data types, the formats it offers, how it can be used, and how often the source updates it.
A WMS layer is imagery, so it cannot become a data item; an entry that offers only an API has nothing Haiyz can link yet.
Editors document sources and file entries under them; Hyz AI can propose entries for a source as drafts. Nothing appears until an editor has verified it against the source and published it.
